Stabilizing ruptured Stems and Branches
Caused by environmental factors like lightning strikes, branches or even the stem can show ruptures that have to be examined by trained forest rangers. They can assess the severity of the damage and decide if the tree has to be cut back or if the tree will be able to heal the damage itself. Injured branches can be stabilized with steel rods and brought back into the previous position. In this manner the wound can heal as quickly as possible and further damage through infection or infestation can be reduced or prevented.
